<p>The invention relates to a method (200, 400) of communicating with a wireless device (102) having a SIM (Subscriber Identity Module), to a computer-readable medium, to a gateway (106, 306), to an application device (110, 310) and to a system (100, 300). The method (200, 400) includes generating a message by appending to a message body an indication of a telephone number associated with the SIM and an indication of an identification number, other than the telephone number, which is non-removably associated with one selected from the group composed of the SIM and the wireless device (102). The message then includes sending (210, 410) the message between a gateway and an application device.</p>
